The Role
We are seeking a PR and communications Account Manager with a strong track record in fashion and lifestyle media relations. This is a New York City-based role, working across our fashion, lifestyle, and brand roster, with support of one Los Angeles-based client.
This role is the connective tissue across the portfolio, sitting between Brand Coordinators and the Senior Lead/Director on accounts, ensuring strategy set at the top translates into clear, well-executed work on the ground — and that coordinator output is polished before it reaches senior leads or clients.
Job Requirements
Experience & Core Requirements
Minimum of 4 years of PR and communications experience (in-house or agency) within the fashion, lifestyle, and brand space.
Based in New York City (hybrid schedule), with the flexibility to coordinate across time zones to support a Los Angeles-based client.
Strong track record of securing high-impact earned media, including feature placements, brand profiles, and product coverage across print, digital, and broadcast.
Ensure consistent oversight, quality control, and account continuity across a portfolio primarily focused on fashion and lifestyle brands.
Team & Project Management
Manage, mentor, and develop Brand Coordinators across hybrid settings, guiding their storytelling and reviewing their output (media lists, pitches, decks, and reports) to ensure high-quality delivery.
Translate comprehensive, 360-degree communications plans set by Senior Leads into actionable, day-to-day team workflows and deliverables.
Own day-to-day operations and deadlines across accounts, including client calls, internal/external timelines, and reporting needs.
Media Relations & Execution
Personally lead media relations on key stories while maintaining and expanding relationships with editors, writers, and producers.
Stay current on editorial shifts, masthead moves, and emerging platforms to build bespoke, highly targeted media lists.
Strong experience in asset creation, including press releases, media alerts, fact sheets, and pitch narratives.
Support event planning and execution, including guest list development, securing attendees, and providing on-site support.
Leadership & Soft Skills
Advanced verbal and written communication skills, with the confidence to present to senior leadership, executive teams, and co-founders.
Serve as the eyes and ears of each account, proactively flagging internal or external concerns to Senior Leads and co-founders.
Highly organized with strong attention to detail, bringing a flexible, positive, and collaborative spirit to a fast-paced, multi-client environment.
Compensation: $85,000–$100,000 base salary, commensurate with experience.
