  • Location: Los Angeles, CA (Mostly remote; in-person content capture & meetings)

  • Reports to: Sunny Jenkins (and a dotted line to the Creative Director, Rylee Ebsen)

  • Schedule: Freelance/Part-Time (20 hours/week). Must have daily availability for community engagement/posting, including weekends.

The Role

The Social Media Manager will own and execute a 7-day-a-week publishing cadence across Instagram and Facebook for our marquee client, The Original Farmers Market (TOFM), ensuring a consistent, high-quality presence that reflects the energy and diversity of the market.

This role is responsible for end-to-end content creation and curation—developing original, social-first ideas, sourcing and requesting content from a network of 100+ merchants, and bringing those stories to life through hands-on shooting, editing, and production. In addition to content development, you will lead daily programming, publishing, and real-time community management, including actively engaging with followers through likes, comments, reposts, and direct interactions, while also monitoring and flagging any issues that require escalation.

You will leverage platform expertise across Instagram and Facebook, manage account access for timely engagement, and utilize Planable to maintain a disciplined and organized publishing workflow. This role requires a balance of creativity and operational rigor to deliver best-in-class content and foster an authentic, always-on connection with the TOFM community.
