PROJECT BRAZEN
Launching a New Global Journalism Brand

STRATEGIC COMMUNICATIONS • BRAND MARKETING
The Challenge
After a combined 30 years at The Wall Street Journal and international recognition for exposing the $6 billion scandal chronicled in the Pulitzer-finalist journalists Bradley Hope and Tom Wright launched Project Brazen, a new journalism studio and production company.
The challenge was to establish the new venture and build awareness for its investigative storytelling across podcasts, books, documentaries, television and film.
Our Approach
TRN developed and executed a strategic communications and media relations campaign to introduce Project Brazen and establish its founders and work within the broader media landscape.
TRN secured launch features in Variety and Deadline and continued supporting individual projects, including Fat Leonard, Project Brazen’s podcast examining the U.S. Navy corruption scandal. The campaign translated complex investigative subject matter into compelling media narratives capable of reaching both industry and consumer audiences.
Measuring Success
TRN generated 250 million total media impressions across the Project Brazen launch and Fat Leonard campaign.
Coverage extended from entertainment and industry media to major national and subject-specific outlets, including CBS Evening News, Navy Times and PBS, helping establish Project Brazen and amplify its investigative work to broad audiences.
